Encountering Women of Faith by Kyriaki Karydoyanes Fitzgerald (editor) 'inspiring, funny, and sad,' the authors explore how the witness of prominent women saints has influenced their lives. The collection includes stories of St. Susanna, St. Elizabeth Feodoravna, the New Martyr, St. Melania the Younger, St. Olympias the Deaconess, St. Xenia of Petersburg and Fool for Christ, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Catherine, and the Myrrhbearing women told by contemporary women.
Our presenter is Popadija Victoria (Vickie) Trbuhovich, St. Stephens Serbian Orthodox Church, Lackawanna, NY. Popadija is the the Serbian word for presbytera. Popadija Vickie is a member of St. Catherine's Vision, an organization of Orthodox women in North America who received graduate degrees in Orthodox theology, primarily from Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology or St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. Members of St. Catherine's Vision serve as editor and contributors of the book.
