Father Christos has selected the next title for the Book Discussion Group, Everywhere Present, a new release by Father Stephen Freeman. Early in Sunday school we learn that God is everywhere. Why is it then, that we refer to Him as “the Man upstairs?” Upstairs often means a place that we reach after death. Fr. Stephen makes a case for reorienting ourselves to the idea that the expectation of our Orthodox faith is that we experience God in the here and now. Father Stephen shows us how to apply our ancient faith in a way that will help us experience God’ s peace, mercy, and love in our daily lives. The discussion is scheduled for July 21st at 7:00 P.M. in the home of Dina and Jim Turecki, 6359 Black Walnut Court, East Amherst, NY 14051. All are encouraged and are welcome to attend.
