Special Event March 11: "War Memorials of Modern Times in the Peloponnisos"

The Library presents a lecture on "War Memorials of Modern Times in Peloponnisos" with archaeologist, Anastasia Panagiotopoulou, Director of the Archaeological Institute of Peloponnesian Studies. Anastasia Panagiotopoulou is a Greek archaeologist who works in Sparta. She studied in Athens and Paris, and has published numerous articles on topics ranging from early Mycenaean temple sites to the mosaic art of Late Antiquity and Early Christian era. Recently, she collaborated with Dr. Mary Voyatzis ( University of Arizona) and Dr. David Romano (University of Pennsylvania) on the excavation of the site of Mt.Lykaion in Arcadia
