New arrivals in children's books:

The Man and the Vine by Jane G. Meyer.
from the book cover: " There once was a man who planted a vine......So begins Meyer's rhythmic tale of a farmer and his young daughter joyfully tending their vineyard and offering the fruit of the vine back to their Creator in Eucharistic celebration. Meyer invites children to follow the journey of the grapes from field to wine press and from wine cellar to church, where they become the wine of Holy Communion. The illustrated text gently, but deftly, describes the Eucharistic mystery: Grapes springing from the good earth and offered back to the Creator as wine become drink infused with Jesus' Divine Life. Through the True Vine, Jesus Christ, heaven joins earth, and we find ourselves again in Paradise, which is very good, indeed ( John 15:1; GENESIS 1:31)"

This wonderful children's book memorializes the life of St. Maria Skobtsova who lived in Paris during World War II and dedicated her life to helping the down trodden, including the persecuted Jewish people in occupied France.

The Shoemaker's Dream by Masahiro Kasuya.

The Shoemaker dreams of having Jesus as his guest. However, he finds out that showing love and kindness to people in need is like helping Jesus himself.
